“The first day I went to meet Hailey Cole-McElroy at the gym for the first time, I was sick with anxiety.
I had been working out for a long time, but it wasn’t working. I felt lost, unable to recognize my body. At 48 I was — older, heavier, and floppier (LOL) than I had imagined I could be. I was ashamed.
I even teared up when she asked me what I wanted from my training. I wanted to not be me, truth be told.
But Hailey taught me that I was using the wrong measuring stick on myself. I didn’t need to be better, thinner, or younger. I needed to be the strongest, healthiest me I could be. Her programs were tough, not gonna lie, but I always left her sessions feeling proud and better about myself.

“I was challenged by my doctor to find a workout routine after some recent blood work that pointed to many problems such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, fatty liver and Type 2 diabetes. On top of finding a routine to get those numbers down, he challenged me that this program I needed to sustain consistently regardless of where I happen to be. As I am on the road every 2-3 weeks it was challenging to keep consistent. I would have spurts of heavy training but then end up injuring myself or work gets too busy and I end up stopping. I decided this time I would work with a trainer. I was referred to Hailey by a friend. I explained my short term goals of getting my blood work back down with the workouts needing to be able to be done even if I have no access to a gym when travelling. I also stated I needed to squeeze these workouts in under an hour (ideally 30-45 minutes). And I would like to build an overall base so I could tackle any activity whether it be skiing, hiking, mountain biking etc. Hailey was amazing in putting multiple programs together with variations so I could adapt the workouts on the fly. 6 months later I had another round of blood work done and my doctor was so happy with my results he high 5’d me. I was no longer diabetic, all my numbers were in a healthier zone. An added bonus, on opening day of the ski season, normally my first run I have to stop multiple times to catch my breath and recover my strength. I did 3 runs full speed without stopping and my heart rate was much lower and I felt very strong. It has been a year now and Hailey has really helped make these routines a habit and they have weathered international travel and a pandemic. I highly recommend Hailey for anyone looking for a tailored and scientific approach to building a lasting and sustainable health program. “I just want to take this time to thank my trainer Hailey Cole. You see not to long ago i was at a time in my life where it was not working for me, i was morbidly over weight, and lost all hope, and i had 2 decision to make, 1 one was not a good one at all and the other was to make a change.
In the back of my head i remember someone telling me about this awesome Gym, Mountain Fitness. So i went on your site and looked at all your trainers as i knew i could not do this alone.
Hailey’s name and her story jumped out at me. I felt a connection to something good. So i sent her a very long email describing me and my many health issues. To my surprise she got back to me right away and said LET’S DO THIS…That was a beginning of something amazing. She met with me and we talk a lot, i mean a lot. and i cried, cause that is basically all i ever did lately. so we made an appointment, and the rest is history.
Hailey is not only my trainer, but she is a life coach, my friend, and biggest cheer leader, and since i started clean eating, i have lots of questions, if she cant answer she finds someone who can.. I have felt so blessed to have this beautiful trainer come into my life. When i feel i cant go on, she gives me the kick in the butt that i need, and always getting me to do more than i think i can. and when i beat myself up, she sends me something to lift myself up. I started to believe in myself for the first time in my life, and i know i have the best team behind me. when i first went to the gym, i looked at myself in the mirror and was just disgusted at what i had done to myself, and thought, people looking at me all they see is this fat person looking like a idiot. I could not look at the mirror again for about 3 weeks, but when i did, i thought, maybe they look at me and think “Good for Her” so now that is what i hear, and people actually say to me “Keep up the good work” now how cool is that!!!
This will be a very slow process, but with Mountain Fitness, and Hailey behind, me i WILL reach my goal.
